Sports Coach - Football

Purpose

To plan and deliver football coaching sessions to pupils.

To assist with fixtures, including Saturdays, as required.

Planning and delivering football coaching sessions to pupils.

Context of the Role

The PE and Sport Department is responsible for the preparation and delivery of an extensive programme of physical activity across two sites: the Senior School on East Hill in the centre of Ashford and the Prep School in Great Chart. The School's major sports include cricket, football, hockey, netball and rugby.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver football coaching sessions to pupils at the Senior School during co-curricular activities.

Assist with competitive school matches, where available. This may include coaching, managing or officiating.

Person Specification

Experience and/or expertise in coaching football to children aged 11 to 18.

Excellent interpersonal skills with a warm and approachable manner towards staff, pupils and visitors.

Strong organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Standards of Performance :To be agreed.

Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 3.55pm to 5.30pm.

Competitive school fixtures by agreement.

This is a term-time only position, plus additional days immediately before the start of each term. The academic year is normally no more than 175 days, significantly fewer than in maintained schools.
