The Company

A mid-sized and extremely fast growing conference business operating across a variety of sectors including AI, Tech, consumer health and lifestyle and pharma. They have a dynamic, professional and entrepreneurial culture and feel.

The Role of Conference Sponsorship Manager

As Conference Sponsorship Manager you will take ownership of the revenue for a growing portfolio of AI conferences (which are a mix of 1 and 2 day events). You will be selling all manner of opportunity from speaking slots, exhibition space, pitching sessions, 1-2-1 meetings, marketing and advertising through to private spin-off events, sponsored hospitality/breakfasts etc.

Your portfolio will include both existing conferences (some with an 80% retention rate) as well as a number of launch events and you will be primarily selling to tech clients, including the likes of Microsoft, NVidia, ARM, Intel and similar.

Since there are a high number of launch events planned in the next 12 months you will likely spend 70% of your time focused on winning new business v rebookings.

Requirements for this Conference Sponsorship Manager position

  • 5+ years conference sponsorship sales experience (speaking slots, exhibition space, bespoke client events, sponsored breakfasts etc)
  • Ideally experience of having sold sponsorship for launch conferences
  • Experience of having sold to tech clients would be beneficial
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering £500k annual sponsorship revenues across multiple conferences
  • Experience of having sold bigger ticket sponsorship solutions (eg £25k+ packages)
  • High level of articulation, confidence and professionalism
  • High work ethic, positive can-do attitude
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Stable career history
