Spinal Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced clinician to join our Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy service as an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner.
This is a Band 8a, fixed-term post for 31.5 hours per week over a 9 month period, commencing 4 May 2026.
The Role
The post holder will work autonomously as an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner, with a particular focus on spinal conditions. You will be responsible for the triage, assessment, diagnosis and management of patients presenting with a defined range of conditions, including complex and highly specialised cases. This role carries a high level of clinical responsibility, requiring advanced clinical reasoning, expert decision making, and in-depth knowledge of orthopaedics and related disciplines. The post holder will take responsibility for the entire patient journey, ensuring safe, effective and patient-centred care.
Service Development and Governance
In addition to clinical duties, the role requires active involvement in the development, improvement and delivery of the service. You will contribute to meeting service objectives, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements.
Base Location
The base location will be to be confirmed, but the role will involve working across:
Chippenham Hospital and Malmesbury Care Centre, Wiltshire
