Job Overview

Avista, a rights based organisation, provides a range of services for children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities across Dublin, Limerick and North Tipperary.

Position

Speech and Language Therapist - East Limerick Children Services, Limerick.

Compensation

Salary subject to relevant public sector experience. Ref: 99805.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language therapy services to children with complex needs, including Autism, Intellectual Disability and Physical Disability.
• Work within a highly motivated interdisciplinary Children's Disability Network Team to support children and families.
• Maintain and develop clinical practice based on evidence and best practice.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Hold a recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
• For qualifications obtained outside Ireland, provide a certificate of validation from the Department of Health.
• Experience working with children and families in a community based setting.
• Full, clean Irish driving licence and ability to use a car.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Clinical experience with children with complex needs (Autism, Intellectual Disability, Physical Disability).
• Level 1 behavioural competencies of the Avista competency framework.
