Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

We're currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with complex needs in specialist settings across Wolverhampton and surrounding areas.
This role involves working closely with children and young people with severe Autism (ASD) and challenging behaviour, providing consistent, structured support throughout the school day.
What this role involvesYou'll be supporting pupils who may:
- Have limited verbal communication
- Require support with emotional regulation
- Display behaviours that challenge
- Need a calm, patient, and consistent approach
Support is typically 1:1 or in small groups, within specialist or alternative provision settings.
Who this role is suited toThis role would suit someone who:
- Has experience supporting severe ASD and/or challenging behaviour
- Comes from a background in SEN, care, support work, or similar
- Is calm under pressure and resilient
- Understands the importance of routine, boundaries, and trust
This is a rewarding but hands on role, where patience and consistency are key.
The detailsLocation: Wolverhampton, WV3
Hours: Full time / Part time options available
Pay: £92.63 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
You'll be working with a SEND specialist education agency that focuses on placing the right staff into the right settings.
All roles are subject to enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks.
