Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

About the role

Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant we're currently recruiting to support pupils with additional needs across local schools and specialist settings. This role involves providing 1:1 or small group support, helping pupils feel safe, supported and able to access learning in a way that works for them.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with SEND such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
• Helping with emotional regulation, routine and engagement.
• Working closely with teachers and SEN staff.
• Providing calm, consistent support throughout the school day.

Who this role suits

• Those with a minimum of 6 months experience in SEN, education, care or support work.
• Patient, reliable and empathetic individuals.
• People who want to make a real difference in education.
• Formal qualifications are beneficial but not essential - the right attitude and approach are key.

Details

Location: Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire

Hours: Full time / Part time

Pay: £90 - £110 per day (experience dependent)

All roles are subject to enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks.
