The LifeWorks School in Media, PA is actively hiring for certified Special Education Teachers for the Academic School Year.

We are now offering a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for a certified Special Education Teacher!

The Special Education Teacher provides academic and functional instruction to students diagnosed with Autism or Pervasive Developmental Disorder in a school setting; monitors student academic and functional achievement through data collection, observation, and other quantitative methods; observes and records student progress daily; develops and monitors student's IEP, reports, goals, objectives, attends IEP meetings, establishes, maintains, and works toward student goals as outlined in the IEP; manages student behavior through individualized motivational systems, S.M.A.R.T. Program and positive behavior support plans.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's level degree in Special Education required.
  • PA certification in Special Education is also required.
  • Content area certifications preferred.
  • Prior experience working with students with behavioral health challenges within a school setting preferred.
