Cabinteely Full-time Fixed-Time (Term-Time) €34,000 per annum

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Deliver individualised teaching programmes that support each child's communication, social and developmental progress.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to drive measurable outcomes.
  • Create a structured, supportive classroom environment that enables children to feel safe, engaged and ready to learn.
  • Use evidence-based approaches to support behaviour, independence and emotional regulation.
  • Work closely with Behaviour Support colleagues and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent and effective interventions.
  • Build strong relationships with families to support each child's development both in the classroom and at home.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, professional team environment focused on quality and continuous improvement.
What You'll Need to Succeed Must-Haves
  • Level 8 qualification (or higher) in Special Education, Primary Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Social Care or a related discipline.
  • Eligible for registration with the Teaching Council of Ireland.
  • Experience supporting children with autism and/or additional needs.
  • Strong understanding of child-centred and autism-informed practice.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A calm, patient and professional approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs, Autism or related field.
  • Experience in an early intervention or preschool setting.
  • Training in PECS, Lámh or other communication supports.
  • Interest in continuous professional development and specialist practice.
