Spa & Leisure Fitness Instructor - Salus Spa at Aldwark Manor Estate Hotel

Position: Spa & Leisure Fitness instructor.

Reports to: Assistant Spa & Leisure manager and Head of Spa & Leisure.

Location: Aldwark Manor Estate, Aldwark, Nr. Alne, York, YO61 1UF

Hours of work: 40 hours per week

Salary: £12.80 per hour

Aldwark Manor Estate is a privately owned hotel with Golf; this section describes the workplace and existing facilities relating to the Spa & Leisure team. December marked the completion and opening of the new Salus Spa facilities, with further development planned later this year.

Purpose of the role: We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Team member who can join us in this position at Aldwark Manor Estate. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the industry, a team player, and who strives for the best in everything that you do.

• To ensure that all Residents and Leisure guests always receive a high level of customer service from pre-arrival until departure.
• Responsible for maintaining high gym floor standards with exercise outcomes consistently each shift, while encouraging safe and effective use of all gym equipment.
• Ensure that all fitness equipment is kept clean and in the correct working order at all times.
• Daily assisting the with Spa reception and therapists with guest meet and greet, spa orientation, Spa & Leisure guests check in and out, taking payment, alongside internal customer enquiries on service and bookings.
• To ensure the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and tidiness in the Leisure area.
• To adhere to the opening and closing procedures of the department.
• Assist in the cleaning of the department and light maintenance of the equipment.
• To always maintain personal hygiene standards.
• Assist in the monitoring and control of the pool in relation to standards given in the maintenance manual.
• To be responsible for handling cash and cashing up at the end of a shift.
• Be able to carry out both pool and spa tests and take corrective action where necessary.
• Provide refreshments to day spa, hotel, and Leisure guests within the Spa.
• Maintaining an adequate provision of towels, robes, and slippers throughout the day for all day spa guests and Hotel residents.
• Regular changing room checks for cleanliness and ensuring used towel drops are emptied and laundry is taken to the in-house laundry.
• Pool side checks, cleanliness, and ensuring all equipment is running correctly.
