Tucked away in the heart of Canonbury, Bistro Sable is Noble Inns' latest creation, a neighbourhood bistro inspired by the spirit of classic Parisian dining. We serve timeless dishes with the Noble Inns ethos of sourcing ingredients with the utmost provenance, from day-boat fish to game from the Royal Estates, all cooked over coal.
As we continue to grow, we're on the lookout for a passionate and talented Sous Chef to join our team.
About YouWe are looking for a Sous Chef with a genuine passion for food, ideally with previous experience in a similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will need to be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to lead by example. A strong understanding of food safety, health and safety regulations, and kitchen operations is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in managing the kitchen team to ensure high standards of food quality and consistency.
- Support the Head Chef with menu planning, development, and execution of daily specials.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking, ensuring dishes are produced to the highest quality.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Assist with stock control and ordering of ingredients.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Assist in managing kitchen budgets and minimising waste.
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior chef de partie.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team under pressure.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- A passion for fresh, quality ingredients and innovative cooking.
