Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
Monitor food safety and hygiene practices in compliance with health regulations.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen resources.
Support menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or specials.
Train junior staff members in food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards.
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills.
Solid understanding of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels.
Previous experience in restaurant or culinary environments is essential; hospitality experience is highly desirable.
