We are currently seeking an experienced sous chef who can bring their vibrant personality and brilliant skills to our kitchen in Central Hall Westminster. Here at Green and Fortune, we are passionate about food, people and hospitality and hence, we are keen to have someone who is aligned to the same.

A significant part of this role involves working within our bakery and pastry section, contributing to the preparation and innovation of baked goods, desserts, and sweet items for both the café and events.

Some key responsibilities include

• Oversee the day-to-day smooth running of the kitchen for both events and café coordinating and supervising to ensure company standards and safety compliance.
• Contribute to leading and planning the preparation and the production for events up to 2000 guests, and for daily and weekly food selection of the café, including sweet and savoury items.
• Lead and motivate a small team of chefs towards a positive and professional working environment.
• Monitor par levels, place orders and maintain accurate records and in line with events schedules.
• Liaise with other departments for orders, logistics, and deliveries.
• Support bakery and pastry production, including daily baking, dessert preparation, and product development.
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment.

What do we need from you?

• The ideal person should have a strong background and a plethora of experience with events.
• Experience with or willingness to learn and work within the bakery/pastry section.
• Knowledge of Fourth, Alert 65 and Optimize (HOPS)is beneficial.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• A can- do positive demeanour and a friendly attitude.
