The Quarry Inn is a friendly village pub in Keinton Mandeville, Somerset.

We have recently taken over this amazing pub following the retirement after 27 years of the previous husband and wife team who were landlord and chef respectively.

We are looking for a full time sous chef to join the head chef to form a kitchen team and produce classic pub food.

We have exciting plans to add letting rooms to the property and to refurbish the rest of the building.

The Role:
You'll be responsible for assisting in preparing and cooking dishes from our menu, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation, and helping to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly day-to-day.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen (in line with food hygiene standards)
Assist in managing stock levels, ordering, and waste control
Work effectively with the team to ensure smooth service

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience as a Sous chef in a pub, restaurant, or similar environment
A passion for fresh quality cooking
Good organizational and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen
Team player with a positive attitude
