Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our small, frinedly team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation. This position requires a genuine passion for hospitality within a restaurant environment. There is no live in accommodation with this position.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and consistency.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen.
Train new kitchen staff in culinary techniques and safety protocols.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Help create an innovative and exciting dining experience for guests.
Skills
Strong background in hospitality with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Comprehensive knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Proven cooking skills with experience in various culinary techniques.
Previous experience in a restaurant setting, ideally within a supervisory role.
Excellent leadership abilities to motivate and inspire kitchen staff.
Proficient in food preparation methods, ensuring high-quality dishes are served.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
