Job Description
_Job description - Sous Chef_

_Sous Chef required for leading gastro food led pub in the heart of leafy Lytham._

_We have a fabulous restaurant which has been open since 2017. In that time we have established ourselves as one of the go to places in Lytham and the local area._

_We have a strong team which enables a good work life balance._

_You will have support and training from our head chef but will have responsibilities to deliver the following:_

_• Successful running of the kitchen_

_• Hygiene, health & safety and food safety compliance,_

_• Food stock control / ordering - ensuring food cost controls are adhered to._

_• You will enjoy a busy, hands on role assisting the Executive Chef with managing the kitchen._

_• You will lead from the front to motivate and develop your team_

_• Will be passionate about food quality and standards within the business._

_About You_

_• Previous experience in a premium fresh food business_

_• Excellent cooking skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure_

_• Essential that you have fresh food experience and able to create specials_

_• A passion for food and delivering great food quality_

_• Leadership qualities with the enthusiasm and charisma to motive your team_

_• Strict adherence to food hygiene and health & safety regulations_

_• Experience in calculating and managing food budget controls including calculation of gross profit percentages and food costings of meus_

_• Excellent communication skills_

_• Enthusiastic, strong work ethic and hunger to learn_

_Job Duties:_

_• Supporting the Head Chef in monitoring and maintaining consistent food standards during all stages of production and service_

_• Supporting the Executive Chef to ensure quality control and hygiene systems are achieved_

_• Purchasing all food and related products using company nominated suppliers (when required)_

_• Supporting the Executive Chef in achieving food budget cost controls, ensuring minimum waste and continually developing menus _

_• Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner_

_• Follow recipes and presentation specifications_

_• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently_

_• Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards_

_• Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment_

_• Restock items as needed throughout the shift_

_• Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards_

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £36,000.00 per year
