We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with a focus on delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. As the Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and leading a team of cooks to create exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen activities, ensuring efficient food preparation and presentation.
Assist in menu planning and development, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Manage food production processes to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.
Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure adequate supplies are available.
Assist in managing kitchen budgets and controlling food costs effectively.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of food production.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
