Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and a commitment to food safety and quality.

As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste and presentation.

This role requires excellent team management skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food production, inventory management, and staff supervision.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and best practices.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
Help manage food costs by minimising waste and optimising ingredient usage.
Foster a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation.
Ability to manage a team effectively, providing guidance and support as needed.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy kitchen environment.
A creative mindset with an eagerness to contribute ideas for menu development.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
