Solutions Enterprise Architect

We are the final stage for complaints about the NHS in England and public services delivered by the UK Government. We look into complaints where someone believes there has been injustice or hardship because an organisation has not acted properly or fairly or has given a poor service and not put things right. Our service is free for everyone.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an established IT professional to make their mark in an organisation that is undergoing a significant transformation. The current business plan, recently updated, outlines the transformation activities for the next 3 years, with ICT prominently featured.

In this influential role, you will operate at a senior level within a small, recently formed ICT team, reporting to the Assistant Director ICT & Accommodation. You'll be the technology lead for both transformation and operational activities, suitable for someone with proven experience in leading technology change in a hands-on environment, while supporting legacy infrastructure and applications.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background and will be responsible for innovation, consolidation, and integration of our IT environments, covering aspects of IT architecture such as Application, Data, Infrastructure, Networks, Integration, and Security.

You will work across multiple technologies and platforms, recommending and leading the adoption of appropriate technologies to improve services for our complainants and staff. As a senior ICT team member, you'll develop and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders.

You will be involved in various challenges, including supporting the Head of ICT to define an ICT and Digital strategy aligned with the Government Digital agenda, focusing on developing technology-enabled business solutions with innovation and customer experience at the core, and creating a roadmap for delivery.
