Job Description

Your part in our mission

As public sector organisations grapple with increasingly complex technology landscapes, the need for intelligent, scalable data architecture has never been greater. Your purpose is to help our clients unlock the full potential of their data by designing and implementing architectures that enable secure, efficient, and future-ready solutions.

Our structure

At Squarcle, we work in a matrix structure designed to support your growth and success. You'll have a Performance Manager to guide your career development, an Engagement Manager to support your day-to-day project work, and a Capability Lead to ensure best practice across tools, people, and processes. This role sits within our Digital Capability, where you'll work closely with Kev , our Head of Technology Services , and Alex , our Digital Transformation MD . Your Performance Manager and project assignment will be confirmed once your first engagement is agreed.

This is what you'll be doing

As Senior Manager - Enterprise Architecture, you'll be joining us as we build momentum. This means there's room for people to shape how we grow, not just keep up with it. You can expect:

  • Set architectural direction across Azure-based supply chain solutions, ensuring alignment with both client vision and business strategy
  • Lead and mentor architecture teams, providing technical direction, oversight, and support throughout project lifecycles
  • Shape solution design by translating business needs into scalable, cloud-native architectures using tools like Logic Apps, API Management, and Azure DevOps
  • Drive quality and governance through architecture principles, frameworks, and QA standards, maintaining coherence across complex environments
  • Partner with clients and internal teams to guide digital transformation, contribute to pre-sales, and embed architecture thinking at every stage

Where you'll be stretched (and thrive):

  • We're scaling at pace: As demand grows, we're building capability while delivering at speed. You'll need to be hands-on, decisive, and able to shape architecture in-flight
  • We're maturing our architecture function: There's a strong foundation, but we're still evolving. You'll play a key role in raising the bar
  • We balance delivery with development: You'll split your focus between client outcomes and strengthening our internal capability. Prioritisation and pragmatism are essential

We think you'll love

  • A culture that's truly people-first: We're big believers in autonomy, trust, and bringing your whole self to work. You'll join a team of no egos, no bureaucracy, just brilliant people doing meaningful work together
  • Work that matters: You'll partner with strategic clients on projects that are critical to the country - from transforming how data is used in public services to supporting missions of national importance
  • Learn fast, grow faster: You won't just deliver - you'll develop. From certifications and cross-functional exposure to technical coaching and stretch assignments, we invest in your growth so you can lead with confidence and impact

This isn't just another consulting role. It's a chance to be part of something growing, ambitious, and meaningful.

The skills you'll need to succeed in this role

  • Experienced and credible: You'll bring your skills in enterprise architecture, with a strong track record leading Azure-based transformations in complex environments
  • Consulting background: You know how to operate in client-facing roles, shape solutions in ambiguity, and balance delivery with relationship-building
  • Sector knowledge: You'll have experience delivering digital transformation or cloud migration programmes, ideally within supply chain, logistics, or similar domains
  • Leadership mindset: You've led architecture teams or coached others, and you're confident setting direction, guiding delivery, and upholding quality
  • Strategic and hands-on: You combine deep knowledge of architecture frameworks, Azure services, and EA tooling with the ability to get into the detail when needed

How we'll assess your skills

Our interview process for this role will involve two steps:

Step 1: Meet with our Recruitment Manager, Corina. She'll introduce you to Squarcle, the role, and answer any questions you may have about us. We'll be assessing some basic skills for the role and finding out more about your background.

Step 2: Meet with our Head of Technology Services, Kevin, and our Digital Transformation MD, Alex. They'll be asking you questions around your capability, and answering any specific questions you may have about the role.

What we offer

We believe great work deserves great rewards. Here's what you can expect as part of the team:

  • Generous leave package
    • 26 days of annual leave (including your birthday!) plus UK bank holidays - increasing to 27 days after three years, and 28 after seven years
    • You'll also get five extra days for your five and 10 year anniversaries
    • Additional leave for members of the Reserve Forces and CFAV.
  • Private medical insurance
    • Provided once you've completed your probation.
  • Recognition and rewards
    • £1,000 referral bonus for successful hires
  • Performance related awards
    • Milestone and life-event hampers to celebrate life's big moments
  • Development & learning
    • Annual training week abroad
    • Funding for qualifications that benefit both you and the business
  • Travel & wellbeing
    • Cycle to work scheme
    • Discounted travel through funded railcards

We review our benefits regularly to ensure they stay competitive and meaningful - so this list may evolve as we grow.
