Job Title: Solution Architect (FEC)
Job Description
This role focuses on designing and defining accounting and compliance capabilities for the French market within a broader API-driven, Embedded accounting platform. You will ensure that product capabilities align with French regulatory requirements, including French GAAP, FEC compliance, VAT reporting, and statutory audit standards, while integrating these capabilities into modern, API-first platform architectures.
Responsibilities
- Translate French accounting and compliance requirements into clear functional and technical solution designs.
- Define and document FEC-compliant data models, schemas, and export logic that meet French audit expectations.
- Support the design of accounting data structures and export capabilities that satisfy statutory audit and compliance standards.
- Shape e-invoicing flows and life cycle handling in accordance with French regulatory frameworks.
- Design and review API services that support accounting data exchange, reporting, and integration within an API-first platform.
- Support VAT reporting structures and develop compliance validation mechanisms to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and compliance stakeholders to validate design decisions and ensure regulatory alignment.
- Contribute to the design and maintenance of chart of accounts structures aligned with French standards.
- Support discovery activities, backlog definition, and design governance in line with Agile delivery practices.
- Ensure traceability between business requirements, solution design, and delivered outputs throughout the delivery life cycle.
Essential Skills
- Strong experience in ERP and accounting systems such as Sage, SAP, Oracle Financials or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated expertise in French GAAP and FEC requirements, including VAT reporting and audit compliance in France.
- Proven experience designing API-based services and integration patterns for accounting or financial systems.
- Ability to translate regulatory and compliance requirements into structured, scalable technical designs.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working across product, engineering, and compliance teams.
- experience working within Agile delivery models and participating in discovery, backlog refinement, and governance activities.
- Practical experience in data management related to accounting, reporting, and compliance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Background in Accounting or Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- experience with VAT reporting tools or frameworks specific to the French market.
- Familiarity with designing or supporting e-invoicing flows in regulated environments.
- Exposure to large-scale technology environments and Embedded accounting platforms.
- Comfort working with documentation tools such as presentation software to communicate solution designs.
