This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigation solicitor who enjoys mentoring and developing others and is ready to take the next step into a leadership role, while remaining involved in high-quality, technically challenging litigation.

The Opportunity

Working closely with senior management, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of a busy contested litigation team. You'll be responsible for supporting, developing and motivating fee earners, ensuring the team consistently delivers excellent client service while achieving departmental objectives.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll have the opportunity to influence performance, help shape the team's future and contribute to the continued success of a thriving litigation department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support a team of litigation fee earners.
  • Provide technical guidance throughout the lifecycle of litigated claims.
  • Work closely with senior management to achieve team and departmental performance targets.
  • Coach, mentor and develop junior lawyers and fee earners.
  • Authorise key stages of litigation for assistant fee earners.
  • Monitor KPIs, case progression and overall team performance.
  • Promote best practice, compliance and continuous improvement across the department.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
About You

You'll ideally have:

  • Qualified Solicitor status.
  • Strong experience handling RTA litigation, particularly Credit Hire and Vehicle Damage disputes.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules, Pre-Action Protocols and litigated claims.
  • Previous experience leading, supervising or mentoring a team, or a genuine desire to step into a leadership position.
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent decision-making skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop others.
What's on Offer?
  • Competitive salary dependent on experience.
  • The opportunity to lead an established and successful litigation team.
  • High-quality, complex litigation work.
  • Genuine career progression within a growing business.
  • A supportive and collaborative working environment.
