About The Role
We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Solicitor to join our Corporate Legal Team to provide technical and legal advice and guidance to all business divisions of the RAC Group.

The work undertaken by the Corporate Legal Team at RAC is incredibly varied. You will have the opportunity to work both autonomously and as part of a dynamic and supportive team with varying levels of qualification. This role will also offer supervision of junior lawyers and development of skills in dealing with all levels of seniority, up to the Executive Board.
This role can be full-time, part-time, permanent, or fixed-term for the right candidate.
We operate a hybrid approach to working, with 2 days in either our Bradley Stoke or Bescot offices (typically Tuesday and Wednesday, but flexible) and the rest from home.

What you'll do
- Draft, negotiate, and advise on a variety of commercial agreements.
- Provide legal advice on issues including cost-effective resolution of contentious matters.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and partners.
- Identify legal risks and communicate these to the Executive for risk acceptance per procedures.
- Advise on operational issues and provide pragmatic advice on ad-hoc queries.
- Assist in managing disputes, employment matters, marketing approvals, IP, and IT.
- Liaise with external advisors as appropriate.
What you'll need
A qualified solicitor with 4-7 years post-qualification experience, ideally with:
- Experience in commercial contracts, preferably in-house;
- Strong commercial acumen and pragmatism;
- A solution-focused approach;
- Innovative thinking;
- Excellent communication skills;
- A proactive, self-starting attitude;
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail;
- Relationship-building skills;
- Understanding of the financial services industry is beneficial but not essential.
