Job Description
Healthcare Solicitor (1-6 PQE) - Belfast

We are currently partnering with a leading Belfast law firm to recruit a Healthcare Solicitor to join their expanding specialist team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor to work within a highly regarded practice area, advising on complex, often sensitive matters within a regulated and constantly evolving sector. The role offers a strong mix of advisory and contentious work, alongside exposure to high-profile instructions.

The Role

You will work closely with an experienced team, advising a broad range of clients across the healthcare sector, including organisations, professionals and public bodies. Your work will include:

  • Advising on regulatory and governance issues within the healthcare sector
  • Supporting on investigations, risk management and compliance matters
  • Involvement in public law matters, including judicial review
  • Assisting with inquests and mental health related cases
  • Handling a range of healthcare related litigation and advisory instructions

You will manage your own caseload while also supporting senior lawyers on more complex matters, gaining exposure to high value and strategically important work.

The Candidate

This role would suit a solicitor looking to develop their expertise within healthcare law in a collaborative and well supported environment. You will ideally:

  • Have 1-6 years' PQE
  • Possess experience in healthcare, regulatory, litigation or public law work
  • Have strong drafting, research and analytical skills
  • Be confident dealing with clients and building relationships
  • Be organised, proactive and capable of managing your own workload
  • Have a genuine interest in healthcare law and the wider regulatory landscape
