Software Tester

Role: Software Tester Location: Enfield (Onsite) Salary: Up to £50,000

An established engineering organisation operating in a highly technical environment is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join its growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on software that supports complex products and services used in demanding, real-world applications.

The Role

You will be responsible for building and testing software across the development lifecycle, with a strong focus on test and integration. The role involves producing and maintaining build and test documentation, supporting improvements in software testability, and acting as a technical point of contact for internal teams and external partners. Occasional travel, including visits onboard vessels in the UK and overseas, will be required.

Key Technical Skills & Experience

• Minimum 1 year's hands on experience testing Windows-based PC software
• Strong understanding of the Software Engineering Lifecycle, particularly testing and integration
• Experience writing test plans, test specifications, and test reports
• Knowledge of scripting and/or programming languages to support test and build automation
• Experience building software and software installers (desirable)
• Good general IT skills, including proficiency with MS Office
• Background within a technical or engineering-led environment

• Willing and able to travel occasionally as required
