Up to £72,000 + 21% bonus

You've delivered software. You've led teams. Now you want real ownership. This is a leadership role where you won't just manage delivery, you'll shape it. We're looking for a Software Project Lead to take control of complex, real-world systems, leading teams of 5-10 engineers through the full lifecycle, from bid to delivery. You'll be trusted to make decisions, manage budgets, influence stakeholders, and drive outcomes that genuinely matter.

What makes this different?

You're not inheriting a static programme. You'll be identifying opportunities, improving product lines, and working directly with senior leadership, including international stakeholders.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading software teams across the full lifecycle
• Owning delivery, budget, timelines, and performance
• Managing stakeholders across engineering and leadership
• Driving continuous improvement and smarter ways of working

What you'll bring:

• Experience leading software teams (5 - 10 engineers)
• Proven delivery across complex systems
• Experience and knowledge of the full software development lifecycle
• Strong stakeholder and budget management
• A practical, problem-solving mindset

Tech exposure such as C++ or Java helps, but leadership is what matters.
