Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• Preferred: 2 years of coding experience, ideally in C++ or GO.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience in systems engineering (e.g., systems integration, systems testing).
• Preferred: Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Preferred: Experience in Network Infrastructure and Software-Defined Networking.

Responsibilities

• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
• Perform data analysis from production data to find gaps, error patterns, and opportunities for existing systems.
• Debug and root cause issues in a highly integrated ecosystem including traffic engineering and admission control.
• Prioritize work and ensure incremental progress even when challenges are significant.
• Help team members and partner teams understand the broader context and solve the right problems at the right time.
• Be comfortable with changes in the execution plan if they enable the right impact for Google.

Compensation & Benefits

Ireland: €100,000-€103,000 (EUR) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits.
