Role: Software Engineer - SDE III

Duration: 6 months

Location: London (1 to 2 Days in Office)

Rate: £650 - £700 inside umbrella

As a Software Engineer III, your responsibilities will include:

• Design, Deploy, and Manage: Take charge of designing and managing clusters within our data center and Azure environment.
• Manage Topics and ACLs: Oversee topics and access control lists, ensuring robust security and efficient operations.
• Diagnose and Troubleshoot: Dive deep into diagnosing and troubleshooting performance issues within the clusters.
• System Upgrades and Patching: Keep our platform stable and secure through regular system upgrades and patching.
• Onboard New Applications: Seamlessly integrate new applications with the Kafka messaging system, enhancing our infrastructure.
• Manage AKS Clusters: Utilize your expertise to manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters effectively.
• Automate Infrastructure: Use Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and management, streamlining operations.

We're looking for a candidate who possesses the following skills and experience:

• Proficiency in automating Azure infrastructure operations.
• Solid understanding of Operating Systems (Windows/Linux) and experience using desired state configuration management tooling.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, with the ability to create pipelines for deploying infrastructure changes.
• Ability to manage virtual networks within the Azure environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with Azure support and resolve technical issues.
• Extensive experience with Azure services, particularly in managing AKS clusters in a production environment.
• Skills in user/authentication management, cluster balancing, and system upgrades.
• Proven troubleshooting capabilities to determine root causes of failures and take appropriate actions.
