Job Description

Responsibilities

Guide the team in creating innovative, scalable software solutions for the London and Global Insurance Markets
Full involvement in the software development life cycle-analysis, design, planning, implementation, and maintenance
Strong technical decision-making and exceptional problem-solving abilities
Shape team performance through mentorship and foster a collaborative environment
Ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions while maintaining alignment with DOCOsoft's culture and values
Collaborate with cross functional leads to align on project goals, timelines, and ensure timely delivery of high quality solutions
Proactively communicate with internal stakeholders to address development plans and resolve issues
Champion modern development practices, including TDD, DDD, SOLID principles, and CI/CD pipelines
Research and prototype technical solutions, focusing on scalable architectures that align with the company's technology roadmap
Ensure consistent high quality documentation and adherence to technical standards
Track and report on key metrics (code quality, team performance) and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

8+ years of hands on software development experience with complex projects
Extensive experience building enterprise applications using technologies such as .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, REST APIs, Entity Framework, and SQL
Advanced proficiency in development tools and practices: Microsoft Developer tools, IIS, RedGate, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable architecture design
Demonstrated leadership ability in team management, stakeholder relationships, and driving technical consensus
Experience working in an agile team developing highly available, highly scalable, secure applications on Azure or AWS utilizing both IaaS and PaaS
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
