Oak Tyres, a leading name in tyre distribution and innovation, is on the lookout for a talented and driven Level 4 Software Developer to join our growing digital team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge software solutions that drive efficiency and customer satisfaction across our business.

As a Level 4 Software Developer, you'll play a key role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality applications. Working within an agile development team, you'll be part of a collaborative environment where innovation and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do.

In this role, you'll work towards yourLevel 4 Software Developer Apprenticeship,delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions aligned with user and business requirements.
• Collaborate within an agile development team environment.
• Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Follow best practices in coding, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code under supervision.
• Progressively take ownership of specific components or modules within the codebase.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours&Benefits:

• £15,704 per annum
• Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
• 28 days holidays including bank holidays

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

• Grade 5 in Maths and 4 in English is essential for this role
• Proficient with at least one modern coding language
• Problem-Solving: Able to analyse problems and develop simple, scalable solutions.
• Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Teamwork: Able to collaborate in a team setting and receive constructive feedback.
