As a competent partner to the municipal departments and municipal enterprises, the Office for Information Technology (IT) makes a significant contribution to the digital transformation of the City of Nuremberg. In its role as a driver of innovation, IT develops solutions to exploit the opportunities of digitalization in the interests of the city society. IT operates the central IT infrastructure of the city administration and supports the departments and in-house operations in all IT matters.
These are your tasks- You will design and develop application software tailored to the technical requirements of the departments of the City of Nuremberg as web applications or client-server solutions (.NET C# / Blazor / WPF / SQL)
- In doing so, you move confidently in both the front-end and back-end areas and implement possible interfaces to surrounding systems in cooperation with their respective managers in order to embed your solution in the existing application landscape in the best possible way
- You will support and maintain the resulting individual software over the entire life cycle (including second and third level support, monitoring, operational control, implementation of additional functionalities, etc.)
- You will play a key role in new, interesting IT projects, particularly in the field of digitalization, in order to map the city administration's processes more efficiently and overcome media disruptions
one of the following qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma (FH) in computer science or business informatics or
- Other qualifications (e.g. IT specialist f/m/d ) with extensive relevant skills and experience and at least two years of relevant professional experience or
- Civil servant (f/m/d) of the 3rd QE / in the higher service, specialist career path natural sciences and technology - focus on administrative informatics, or
- Civil servant (f/m/d) in the 3rd QE / senior civil service, administration and finance career path with at least three years of relevant professional experience and extensive relevant skills and experience, or
- Verwaltungsfachwirt/in (f/m/d) (Fachprüfung II) with at least three years of relevant professional experience and extensive relevant skills and experience
- Sound knowledge of front-end and back-end programming (C#) and database systems (MS SQL / Oracle, possibly PostgreSQL)
- Further knowledge of the Blazor and WPF frameworks as well as programming knowledge in Java an advantage
- Good knowledge of the deployment and operational support of web applications on web servers on Windows or RHEL servers (IIS, Tomcat, possibly Kestrel)
- Very good communication and project management skills
- Ability to abstract and understand customers
- Ability to work in a team, confident demeanor and a responsible personality
- Willingness to work (infrequent) evenings or weekends
