Software Developer Energy Management (m/f/d) Platform and Frontend in Offenbach am Main

Researching and validating innovative technologies for connected vehicle architectures is one of the central tasks of our European research and development center in Offenbach. We use our global network of R&D centers for joint research projects and to define technical development strategies.

The optimized use of renewable energies and intelligent energy management are the focus of our research work in the field of "Energy & Digital Systems Research". We are developing the future software platform to connect all components and optimize their energy flows. This includes the generation of renewable energy via photovoltaics, its use by energy consumers and the efficient use of storage systems (e.g. electric vehicles) that are integrated into smart grids. The generation, storage and use of hydrogen also plays an important role in our research work in this context.

Your responsibility will be to develop, expand and optimize these and future software platforms as part of a team. The focus here will be on the development of suitable front-end components and the implementation of energy management. You will also work with our colleagues from other locations to connect the data with our backend and cloud architectures.

Your future area of responsibility

• Development of software architectures for the integration of electric vehicles into smart energy grids
• Design and implementation of front-end solutions
• Collaboration with external software service providers in cooperative software projects
• Testing and validating the developed prototypes and applications
• Responsibility for and further development of the software development environment for internal research projects

You will work with our corporate headquarters in Japan as well as our partner research centers and external software companies in a highly motivated team.

Your profile

• Training or studies in the field of system architecture or software development
• Several years of professional experience in software development
• Very good knowledge of (agile) software development methods
• Experience with common programming languages, such as Python, Java/C++, JavaScript, as well as a confident handling of typical code conventions
• Experience in the application of Kl-supported technologies in software development processes

Know-how in the following areas is also an advantage

• Development of web apps and mobile apps
• Linux
• Experience with cloud architectures and applications
• Experience with agile project management

Your very good command of English forms the communication basis for working in our international company. You have an eye for innovation and have a strong analytical mindset. You also enjoy working in agile project teams.
