Job Description
Join a pioneering Identity engineering team responsible for building and managing online identity providers for a wide array of online services and platforms including Azure, Office, Xbox, and HoloLens. As part of a group that values bold ideas and transformational advances in online security and user management, you will engage with a diverse range of projects that span both consumer and enterprise spaces, impacting Internet scale online services, the Windows operating system, and handheld devices. This role provides a unique opportunity to enhance bot protection processes and safeguard against bot attacks. Collaborate with machine learning experts and engineering gurus to deliver mission-critical services in an environment that champions diversity, multiculturalism, and inclusion.
Responsibilities
- Improve mechanisms to identify MSA account reputation and block abusive accounts.
- Collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, Designers, and Partners to deliver feature sets with appropriate design and architecture.
- Own and deliver complete feature areas and large-scale solutions, including design, architecture, implementation, testability, debugging, and secure long-term support.
- Demonstrate leadership and accountability in enhancing development practices and influencing direction across systems, platforms, and products.
- Write clean, well-thought-out code with a focus on quality, performance, simplicity, durability, scalability, reusability, and maintainability.
- Commit to delivering the best customer and partner experiences, iterating based on feedback.
- Ensure reliable and uninterrupted operation of features, with early issue detection in production.
- Adopt a data-driven approach in analysing business requirements and customer feedback, using metrics to validate success.
- Address test coverage issues, organise and implement necessary tests, and resolve problem areas.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of business operations and contribute to end-to-end customer experiences.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or computer engineering.
- Proficiency in C# or other object-oriented programming languages with over 2 years of hands-on software design and development experience .
- Experience in large-scale web service development, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance in production.
- Strong foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Experience in large systems software design and development.
- Experience in in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and Legacy production systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with programming and problem diagnosis and resolution.
- Preferable past experience working with similar large-scale companies as a software engineer.
