Software Asset Management Analyst

We're looking for a proactive IT Analyst to join my clients team in Aberdeen on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This hybrid role blends software asset management with hands-on IT support, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Software Asset & Lifecycle Management (70%)


• Manage software requests and maintain approved/restricted application lists


• Procure, deploy, and ensure license compliance


• Track software contracts, renewals, and support agreements


• Run vulnerability scans (Lansweeper/Nessus) and support remediation


• Assist with software packaging and deployment


• Follow cybersecurity protocols and suggest service improvements


• 1st/2nd Line IT Support (30%)


• Provide technical support onsite and remotely


• Log and resolve issues, escalating when needed


• Support users with hardware/software queries and training


• Maintain asset inventory and meet service level target

What You'll Bring

• Experience in IT support within medium/large organisations


• Knowledge of enterprise systems, multi-domain environments, and networks


• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Identity Management, MDM, and deployment tools


• Software asset management experience


• Microsoft technical certification (required)


• ITIL Foundation (preferred)
