This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team in Hackney as a Social Worker Reviewing Officer. As part of your role in the Access & Duty Team, you will also respond to new concerns and assess risks to ensure prompt safeguarding actions. What you will do

  • Conduct thorough and timely reviews of children's circumstances, plans, and outcomes, ensuring interventions remain effective and child-centred.
  • Engage directly with children, young people, and families to understand their needs and preferences, reflecting these in assessments and reviews.
  • Analyse and respond to changes in family circumstances, assessing risk and prioritising children's welfare.
  • Participate in the Access & Duty response to new concerns, performing initial risk assessments and safeguarding interventions when necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with professionals across education, health, police, and other partner agencies to coordinate support.
  • Manage a caseload while maintaining accurate and robust records to support statutory responsibilities.
  • Develop and contribute to child protection plans, core groups, and multi-agency meetings.
  • Advocate for children's rights and promote a strengths-based approach in all areas of practice.
