Social Worker - Adults with Learning Disabilities

Our client, Newham Council, is looking for an experienced Social Worker to join their Adults with Learning Disabilities Service.

• This role is within Adult Social Care Operations. Core functions include strength-based assessments, person-centred support planning, long-term support arrangements, and reviews for customers in the community with complex needs. The post holder will be required to carry out Mental Capacity Assessments and Court of Protection work.
• To provide a social work service to an allocated caseload within the agreed performance management, quality assurance, and budgetary framework, ensuring the highest standards of service are achieved.
• To act as a member of a team providing effective, efficient, and personalised strength-based assessments, support planning, and brokerage services to adult service users, carers, and their families, aligning with the organisation's strategic aims and ensuring access to high-quality services that safeguard and promote welfare.
• To ensure individuals are fully supported to have the best opportunities and are empowered to exercise choice and control to meet their outcomes.

What you need:

• QSW Status, including qualification, Social Work England registration, and completed ASYE.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience.
• Right to work in the UK.
