What you will do

• Lead and manage a social work team handling Child in Need (Section 17) and Child Protection (Section 47) cases
• Provide oversight and quality assurance of assessments, care planning, and interventions
• Ensure timely safeguarding decision making, manage risk, and prioritise cases
• Deliver supervision, performance management, and professional development to staff
• Chair and contribute to strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and multi agency meetings

Qualifications and requirements

• Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent) with evidence of continued professional development
• Desirable: management or leadership qualification
• Registered with Social Work England
• Strong knowledge of Children Act 1989 & 2004 and Working Together to Safeguard Children
• Enhanced DBS clearance required
