Social Work Assistant - Omagh

We are currently recruiting for a Social Work Assistant to join the Family & Childcare Team based at Tyrone & Fermanagh Hospital. This team provides vital support to children, young people, and their families, helping to promote positive outcomes and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working alongside Social Workers to support children, young people, and their families
• Assisting with assessments and the implementation of Child Care plans
• Maintaining accurate documentation and case records
• Providing practical support to families to encourage positive change and improve outcomes

This role is for a minimum of 3 months with the potential of extension. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm with a pay rate of £14.06 per hour.

Essential Criteria:

• At least 1 Year's experience working with children, young people, or families in a relevant setting, such as childcare, youth work, or as a care assistant.
• A level 3 Qualification (or equivalent) in a health, social care, or other care-related subject.

What We Need From You:

• Level 3 Qualification in care related subject
• Previous experience working with children and families
• To be NISCC registered, or willing to apply
• Willing to undergo an Access NI check
