Social Personal Assistant - HTNCL

Location: Scotswood, Newcastle upon Tyne

Hours: 4 hours term time and 6 hours holiday time

Rate of Pay: £14.00 per hour

Vehicle: Driver with own vehicle and clean licence essential. Mileage will be reimbursed.

Role Overview

My son is a happy and lovely easy going 12 year old who loves to be active. He enjoys outdoor activities such as walking in the park, playing in the sandpit, visiting the beach, trampolining, or going to the Tim Lamb Centre. He also listens to dance music and observes people dance. He has been diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and has sensory processing difficulties that impact his independent engagement in activities. He requires prompting with most tasks, including personal care, and has limited communication, using only single words. We are looking for someone enthusiastic with a genuine interest in working with children.

Responsibilities

• Provide social assistance and support his daily activities.
• Prompt him with tasks and assist with personal care.
• Assist him in achieving his goals and ensure safety at all times.

Qualifications

• Valid driver licence and own vehicle.
• Good interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for child support.
• Suitable for DBs check and reference checks.
• Permission to work in the U.K. required.
