Social Care Personal Assistant (8-10 hours per week)

Swansea Council will not be the employer for the advertised role. Any successful applicant for this role will be employed by the Direct Payment client, who is the legal employer.

A little about myself: I am an autistic 20-year-old man living in Swansea. I enjoy skateboarding, dancing, music and singing. I have been described as determined, funny, a cool dude, sociable, energetic and somebody who loves banter. I am looking for a PA who is fun, motivating and have the passion to help me to gain a vital social life and gain skills at home and within the community.

Hours of work: 8-10 hours per week

Rate of pay: £13.50

Essential skills for this role:

• Be able to drive and have a car

• Must be able to work alone and with a team
• Be able to attend meetings and training sessions

Concerning the position

IMPORTANT

A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible. On application of a DBS the PA will also be registered for mandatory E-learning which will need to be completed within first 4 weeks of employment.
