SOCIAL CARE LEADER

The Social Care Leader reports to the Person In Charge (PIC) and supports the delivery of high-quality, person-centred and rights-based services for individuals supported by the service.

The role provides day-to-day leadership and support to staff teams, promotes professional practice, and assists the PIC in ensuring quality, compliance, safeguarding and positive outcomes for individuals. Working in partnership with individuals, families, colleagues and external professionals, the Social Care Leader contributes to the effective operation, continuous improvement and regulatory compliance of the service.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Hold a Degree in Social Care or foreign equivalent (validated by QQI) qualification, or hold current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI): RNID, RPN or RGN.
  • Must have a minimum of one year's post qualification experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • Experience supporting staff, coordinating services and/or undertaking delegated leadership responsibilities is desirable.
  • A qualification in Leadership, Supervision or Management is desirable.
  • Must hold a full clean driving licence and be willing to drive company vehicles.
  • Hold valid work authorisation for Ireland.
  • Be proficient in both oral and written English language.
