DescriptionIndependently sets up and operates assigned production equipment to attach electronic and mechanical components to printed circuit boards using both automated systems and manual placement. Consistently meets quality, efficiency, and productivity objectives by optimizing equipment performance and ensuring assemblies are built to print and comply with applicable workmanship standards. Maintains equipment and process stability through quality audits, ongoing monitoring, and troubleshooting. Leverages technical expertise and teamwork to drive continuous improvement and increase overall production line output.
Duties and Responsibilities- Demonstrates situational awareness and accountability while setting up and operating a continuous-flow production line to maximize output and minimize waste.
- Plays a critical role in ensuring electronic products are assembled accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced, precision-driven manufacturing environment.
- Takes ownership of the assigned production line during the shift, ensuring efficient operation, product quality, and adherence to safety and productivity standards.
- Monitors equipment performance, troubleshoots routine issues, and makes necessary adjustments to maintain optimal operation.
- Maintains a proactive approach to process improvement through collaboration with leadership, maintenance, and quality teams to meet production targets while minimizing waste.
- Demonstrates initiative and supports continuous improvement efforts as a key contributor to line performance.
- Resolves routine problems independently, utilizes technical knowledge to support others, and escalates complex issues to higher-level resources as needed.
- Works independently on one or more production lines while effectively managing time and priorities to maximize output.
- Communicates concerns, ideas, and improvement opportunities to leadership, programmers, and maintenance technicians.
- Sets up and operates assigned production equipment using both automated systems and manual placement techniques.
- Controls inventory and manages stock levels of supplies required for maintenance and production tasks.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, job orders, specifications, drawings, schematics, process sheets, wiring diagrams, and small print documentation.
- Identifies and applies various solder paste types using proper safety and handling procedures.
- Uses a variety of hand tools, including calipers, to perform assigned tasks.
- Maintains a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and workmanship to ensure quality output.
- Experience working in manufacturing, production, or assembly preferred but not required
- Basic computer literacy and comfortable using technology like computers or tablets
- Good hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail
- Able to multitask and stay focused in a busy, fast-paced environment
- A team player with good communication skills
- Willingness to learn new technologies and product builds
- Dependable and on time
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred but not required
- Able to lift up to 35 pounds
- Regularly performs repetitive tasks
- Able to stand for entire shift
- Regularly possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
