About the role and clinic

We are looking for an experienced Small Animal Vet to join our wonderful team of 5 vets, a strong nursing team, and a dedicated practice manager. Our existing team of vets has nearly 40 years of combined experience!

• We encourage career growth and development, whether developing special interests or being a well-rounded general practitioner.
• Enjoy at least 2 days per week in surgery and dentistry, along with a balanced schedule of consults.
• This full-time role offers a 4-day workweek and 1 in 4 Saturdays.
• Our clinic is well-equipped with ultrasound, digital and dental x-ray, and an in-house lab.
• We are the first GP clinic in Christchurch to offer laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery!
• Our facilities include a spacious setup with a separate dental suite, surgical theatre, and prep room.
• We collaborate closely with the wider OurVets group through regular meetings and CPD events.
• As a community-focused clinic, we enjoy engaging with our local community. We are based in a growing suburb with excellent clientele and nearby parks for lunchtime strolls.

We are seeking a passionate Small Animal Vet with :

• BVSc qualification (or equivalent) and registration, or eligibility to register to practice in New Zealand
• 4+ years of Small Animal Veterinary experience, comfortable with routine surgery, dentistry, and consultations
• A special interest and strong competency in dentistry and surgery would be ideal for our team
