Small Animal Vet - Chesterfield, Derbyshire
Our client is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their expanding team at a family-run, independent small animal practice. With state-of-the-art facilities across two sites in Bolsover and Sheffield, this role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality veterinary care in a mix of consultations and surgeries.
- Contribute to a team of 5 Veterinary Surgeons, 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs), 3 Student Veterinary Nurses (SVNs), and experienced support staff.
- Provide compassionate care to patients and clients, ensuring excellent communication at all times.
- Full-time or part-time position available.
- 40 hours over 4 days, with Mondays or Fridays off.
- Shift options include 9 am-7 pm consultation shifts or 8 am-6 pm operation shifts.
- 1 in 4 Saturdays (8:30 am-3:30 pm). No Sundays, Bank Holidays, or out-of-hours duties.
- 15-minute consultations with allocated admin and coffee breaks.
- The ideal Veterinary Surgeon will have a keen interest in both medicine and surgery.
- If you have an interest in keyhole surgery, they can provide training in this area.
- They should be a team player with excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient and client care.
- Competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £60,000 p/a, reflective of skills and experience.
- Bonus scheme and all overtime compensated with time off in lieu (TOIL).
