Full-time 5 out of 7 on a rota of morning, afternoons and late shifts
Arriva is looking for an experienced Skilled Shift Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you'll carry out maintenance, repairs and diagnostics on our fleet to ensure our vehicles are safe, reliable and ready for service.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance, inspections and preventative repairs on a diverse fleet.
Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.
Complete scheduled servicing and respond to unscheduled repair work.
Overhaul and replace components such as engines, gearboxes and braking systems.
Accurately complete all job sheets, defect reports and maintenance records.
Follow all company health and safety procedures.
Work as part of a shift team and maintain a clean, organised workshop.
About YouExperienced mechanic or engineer (automotive, heavy vehicle or rail preferred).
Level 3 qualification in Vehicle or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and within a team.
Full UK driving licence (PCV/HGV desirable).
Flexible to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
