Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and hardworking Semi-Skilled Labourer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will support tradespeople on site, assist with general construction and restoration tasks, and contribute to the careful handling and preservation of historic structures.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience in construction or labouring roles and is looking to develop specialist skills within heritage restoration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., stonemasons, bricklayers, joiners) in day-to-day restoration and conservation tasks.
  • Carry out general labouring duties, including site preparation, material handling, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Support restoration works involving heritage materials such as stone, brick, timber, and lime-based products.
  • Follow instructions accurately to ensure the protection of historic building fabric.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and responsibly (training provided if needed).
  • Work flexibly across multiple sites throughout the North West.
  • Adhere to company health & safety procedures and site requirements at all times.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in construction, labouring, or a relevant trade (essential).
  • Basic understanding of tools, materials, and site processes.
  • Genuine interest in restoration, heritage work, or traditional construction methods.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude on site.
  • CSCS card (essential).
  • Full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential).
