Site Supervisor

Description
As aSite Supervisor, you will be responsible for local operationalteams who deliver the day to day aspects of mains laying and newsuppliers to developers of all types and sizes.

You will supervise the teams - ensuring thatthe work is delivered safely on time, within budget and to ourclient's expectations. You will provide operational management -ensuing that the work is delivered safely on time, within budgetand to our Client's expectations.

In addition to Health and Safety, customerservice is critical to our work. You will ensure that work iscarried out in a manner, which builds the confidence of developersand adopts a 'right first time' approach. Recognising developershave paid for mains laying and new supplies to their site /property, you will work with the relevant teams to ensureprogrammes are managed and deliveredaccordingly.

Satisfaction of developers is measuredthrough a new regulatory measure called D-MeX. You will workclosely with Yorkshire Water to influence a dramatic improvement inthe D-MeX measure and show management skills to genuinely careabout the ratings Developers give of Network Plus'sservices.
KeyResponsibilities

• Haveoperational supervisory responsibility for a designated group ofDeveloper Services teams, and their daily activities
• Organise labour in the most cost-effective way, includingrecruitment, disciplinary action, wages and absencemanagement
• Manage all other resources e.g.materials and plant
• Ensure accurateinformation is captured of works undertaken, including photographsand as laids
• Visit teams at local site level -reviewing progress and performance and ensuring standards areadhered to
• Carry out team briefings with teamson a monthly basis; coaching and developing operational teams toreach their potential
• Complete TeamInspections ensuring a high level of Compliance with a real focuson quality and right first-time operational delivery
• Be a Health & Safety Representative; undertakinghealth & safety inspections in and around the workplace,raising health and safety related matters with management andinvestigating reportable accidents or incidents as and when theyoccur

Experience andQualifications

• Relevantqualifications in relation to the work being carried out i.e. NRWSAat supervisory level
• Health & Safetyqualification would be an advantage
• DeepExcavation knowledge and experience
• Goodmanagement skills
• Excellent communicationskills
• Financial and commercialawareness
• Proficient IT skills, includingMicrosoft Excel and Word
• Full UK DrivingLicence
