Site Services Technician

Location: Nicholas & Harris, Salisbury, SP2 7PU
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am until 4:30pm

We are recruiting a Site Services Technician to support the ongoing maintenance and reliability of our site infrastructure at Nicholas & Harris. This is a key role within the site, ensuring that building fabric, fixtures and fittings are maintained to a high standard to support safe, compliant and efficient production. Working as part of a small and collaborative team, you will play a hands on role in maintaining the fabric of the site, responding to defects, and ensuring that essential services remain reliable. This role is critical in supporting operational performance, safety standards and compliance across the site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair the building fabric, fixtures and fittings across the site, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and safely to minimise disruption to production.
• Respond to defects and proofing issues raised through the CMMS system, carrying out repairs in line with Health & Safety and Food Safety standards. Tasks include carpentry, plumbing, painting and general building repairs.
• Attend emergency repairs where required, taking a proactive and solution focused approach to ensure issues are contained and resolved efficiently.
• Work closely with external contractors and visitors, supporting the coordination of work on site to ensure all activities are carried out safely and in line with company standards.
• Maintain control of company tools and equipment, ensuring they are used and stored appropriately.
• Support the completion of planned tasks, including SHE related activities and pest control (Rokill) actions, contributing to the overall compliance and performance of the site.
• Be measured through key performance indicators such as work order completion, SHE and Rokill completion rates, and the consistent delivery of daily and weekly tasks.

Qualifications

• Multi skilled with experience across a range of trade disciplines (e.g. carpentry, bricklaying, plumbing, painting).
• NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent in a relevant trade (desirable).
• Basic IT skills, with experience of maintenance systems (CMMS advantageous).
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload.
• Strong problem solving mindset with a proactive approach.
• Able to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and stakeholders.
• Resilient and able to work under pressure when required.
• Strong advocate for Health & Safety, leading by example.
