Site Manager - Portlaoise

D.O.E: €34 - €40 per hour

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee external works on a residential development project in Portlaoise, County Laois.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Manager and oversee day-to-day site operations.
• Supervise all works, including external works, logistics, deliveries, barriers, banksman and gateman duties.
• Maintain site records including daily diary, reports, RFIs, NCRs, and related documentation.
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, company procedures, and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site staff to meet programme deadlines.
• Liaise with utilities and authorities for temporary services and connections.
• Ensure quality control, inspections, and clean, safe work areas at all times.
• Attend site meetings and use company systems such as Procore.

Requirements

• Site supervision experience with a trades background.
• 5+ years of experience in the construction industry.
• Previous experience as a site manager on residential projects (preferred).
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
• Knowledge of latest building regulations and certification standards.
• A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for tasks/projects.
• Must have the ability to manage the multi-disciplinary teams of contactors & site operatives.
