Monday to Friday (40 hours).
We are seeking a hands-on chef actively involved in the creating, cooking, and presentation of food, as well as the day-to-day running of our café based on Fonterra Bridge Street. Think of tasty, wholesome hot and cold cabinet food, baked items and breakfast that our customers can order and eat in a short time frame before their next shift starts. An understanding of what the customers crave will have you well on the road to success here.
What You'll Do- prepare, cook, and serve a variety of cabinet food items
- monitor quality of food at all stages of preparation and presentation
- manage food and labour costs within budget
- discuss food preparation issues with managers
- implement New Zealand Food Control and Safety regulations
- maintain a clean, tidy, safe and hazard free environment
- demonstrate great communication skills and moderate computer literacy
- show a flexible, can-do, committed attitude
Reporting to an operations manager, this is a sole charge role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6.00am - 2:30pm, where you will ensure the smooth running of the café.
