About Your New Job

As a Site Manager you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a large, high-profile fit-out project in the city centre. This project, for a prestigious client, is a fantastic opportunity to lead a specialized team and ensure the fit-out is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards. Working closely with the Project Manager, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations on-site, overseeing all construction and fit-out activities.
• Coordinate and supervise all tradespeople and subcontractors to ensure the project progresses on time and within budget.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards, building regulations, and health and safety protocols.
• Ensure health and safety practices are adhered to at all times and enforce safe working procedures.
• Provide regular project updates and report any issues or potential delays to the Project Manager.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and prompt resolution of any issues.
• Oversee site logistics, including material deliveries and resource allocation, to avoid delays and keep the project on track.
• Manage the completion of site documentation, including daily reports, timesheets, and quality control records.
• Mentor and provide support to site staff, ensuring they adhere to project specifications and best practices.

What Skills You Need

• Proven experience as a Site Manager in the fit-out or construction industry, with experience leading large, high-profile fit-out projects.
• Expertise in managing specialized fit-out projects, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors on site effectively.
• Exceptional communication skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, technical specifications, and industry best practices.
• Relevant qualifications or trade qualifications (e.g., degree in construction management, SMSTS, First Aid) and a valid CSCS card are desirable.
